The solution enlarges driver visual range extension, in case of partial or blind visibility. This is permitted thanks to real-time video exchanges among connected vehicles. In this way, a reduction of car accidents will be achieved, especially during overtaking phases.
Thanks to 5G, it is possible to have a very low latency and high reliability that are paramount to ensure the flow and synchronism of the real-time video exchange between vehicles. Going forward, the ultra-broad band will enable scalability and provide the service also under high traffic and cell saturation conditions. The use of Edge Cloud infrastructure is necessary to address dynamically the video flows on the basis of the reciprocal positions of the vehicles involved and to ensure minimal end-to-end latency.
